Q. What is the difference between a Park Home and a Caravan? A. A park home is double unit looking more like a bungalow. The park home provides a spacious and comfortable single story home and are designed for all year round living, with air conditioning and central heating. Where as caravans structure is a single width unit and intended for the holiday market. All our homes come with a 10 year guarantee.
Q. When will my new home be ready? A. The time scale varies between 30 days and 90 days Dependant on any customization. The homes are delivered direct from the manufacturers and are ready to live in immediately.
Q. What is 'Siting'? A. The transportation of your home from the manufactures to the site. Connections to all the main services, e.g. electricity and water.
Q. How long does a park home last? A. Omar Homes are specially designed to withstand the heat, especially during the summer months, you are assured that the exterior will last much longer than a caravan home in th UK. The interiors are built with high spec materials and designed specifically for year round living. As long as the home is well maintained there is no reason why the home will not last for many years.
Q. Do I need to replace my Home in the future? A. No, the home is yours and there is no age limit on the unit. Again, as long as you keep your Home in good order it will last for many years.
Q. Will my Park Home keep it's value? A. Yes, as with normal house prices the mobile home will increase percentage wise and sometimes can exceed market trends in their areas.
Q. Why do prices vary from site to site? A. As with normal house prices location is everything. For instance if you decide on a site overlooking the sea and with incredible views of the mountains the prices reflect this and other factors include: parking, site facilities, accessibility and plot size.
Q. Can I rent my home out? A. Most sites will 'build' into an agreement that you may rent your home but normally there will be a commission charge for this.
Q. Will I be able to speak to an English speaking representative? A. Yes, all our representatives speak English.
Q. What is the payment structure? A. We have a straight forward payment schedule: £4,000 Plot Reservation deposit (non-refundable) this secures your chosen plot. Then £15,000 deposit (within 14 days) to order your home, followed by the balance within 30-90 days, depending on the delivery date of your new home.
Q. Are pets allowed on the site: A. Yes, we welcome cats and small dogs. All owners must have a certified pet insurance plan. This can be arranged for you through Malaga Park Homes.
Q. Are there any hidden costs? A. No, we will clearly explain the full costs relating to the home before any purchase is made, we provide a detailed purchase confirmation sheet that explains all costs relating to your purchase which you will have a copy of.
Q. Can I receive British television and an ADSL connection? A. Yes, a connection will be made when you take out your purchase with a supplier.
Q. Do you have inspection visits? A. Yes, we can arrange your flights, accommodation and transport for your visit. We can show you around the local village and give you all the details of the local community i.e doctors, dentist, banks etc. We will refund up to €500 should you purchase from us.
Q. Can I leave the home to my family in a will? A. Yes, the property can be left in a will to family. Although if you do decide to sell on it can only be sold through Malaga Park Homes. A 15% administration fee applies.
